    Turner Sling wait times?

Thanks for the awesome responses guys, sorry to hear about the hooks. Quick Update, got my sling in the mail yesterday with a nice note from Camille, it is, of course beautiful, and just in time as my rifle gets back from the smith tomorrow! Thanks again guys, you're awesome.

    Turner Sling wait times?

Thanks guys, gonna go with it being my connection, I'll wait another week and give them a call as the time-frame still sounds ok, I'm just so excited, ya know?

    Turner Sling wait times?

So, I'm hoping this is just my spotty internet connection being dumb but I placed an order with Turner Saddlery via their website on July 8th for a new sling (not a second) and received on the 9th a confirmation email from Camille. It's August 5th and still no sling, I know sometimes they...

Rifle Scopes Leupold Lens cover issues...

Chalk another one up to my stupidity. You are absoluteyl right sawman: they are adjustable. This is why I can't have nice things, because I don't understand them. They adjust and they way they adjust is exactly the way you would expect them to if they were designed by a proactive team of...

Rifle Scopes Leupold Lens cover issues...

Well, I got a vx-r patrol last week and I have been beyond pleased with the bang for the buck. So today my long awaited package containing my Leupold flip-back lens covers arrived and, like a schoolboy on Christmas morning I tore into the package with a vengeance and installed them. Only...

Rifle Scopes Please recommend scope for . . .

So, is this for an air gun? Because I know a number of high end rifle scopes are not air-gun safe. Also, you might have to look at air gun specific scopes to get a parallax adjustment that will go to under 50 yards.

    precision rifles... show em

Funny you should suggest that as I work in aviation and our plant is on land leased from the airport. Well, about 10 years ago (before I worked there) the town expanded to where the airport was and people started building houses on the lots right up against the fence. Lo and behold the next...

Rifle Scopes Is this NightForce good?

CSTACTICAL put it about the way I would, I don't have a lot of experience shooting long range target (yet) but for those of you saying 14 isn't enough mag for a .338, I was looking at a .375 last year and i was planning on running irons like I do on most of my rifles (rifle was for bear in dense...

    Newb wanting to go custom

I'm not that much more experienced than you in terms of rifle building but having recently made all of these decisions I can give you my input and just take it with a grain of salt: If you're not hunting with it I see no reason to not get a 28" barrel I mean it's not like you ever have to carry...

Which plate carrier & Plates are good quality not too heavy or expensive?

My bad, what I meant was epoxy the kevlar to the FRONT of the plate and then coat to catch spalling, and then put the plate backer behind it as opposed to just a spray on coating which at the point where it's thick enough to truly catch spalling it will need to be unreasonably thick. The kevlar...

Who buys factory 30-06 ammo for rifles??

I use 150 for whitetails and coyotes all the time, good velocity, adequate takedown, light recoil. However I think the winchester white box is made specifically for the garand because of the op-rod assembly and gas system limitations. Not being a dick, just saying.

Rifle Scopes Apexx Scope Armor?? Is this a Joke?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Which plate carrier & Plates are good quality not too heavy or expensive?

My carrier is a blackhawk, if you're not wearing it every day it's a good deal (mine may have been free), big pockets front and back, lots of molle for stringing stuff on like a hydration pack, quick release in case you fall into a river or, as was their reasoning: if you get shot and your...

Who buys factory 30-06 ammo for rifles??

Also, last I saw ammo was still selling like hotcakes on Gunbroker.

Who buys factory 30-06 ammo for rifles??

How cheap is "relatively"? I mean, I can always use more winchester white box, but I'm only willing to pay $15/20 after shipping and that's ORM-D

Rifle Scopes Anyone using the new VX-6?

I saw a post in the F-class category but didn't know if I should be hijacking that or not so I'll put one here. It looks to me like these are pretty new, or if they aren't then I'm just oblivious and Leupold got me with the marketing. I was wondering more specifically how the glass...

You have $10,000. What do you build?

I would build a 1972 Challenger: think vanishing point car except no supercharger, and C5 type front end with a 5 speed manual transmission. I'm in the middle of my first (and probably last) no budget build right now and I'm probably only going to spend 3k and since I do all my own work on...

Rifle Scopes How much abuse has your Vortex (or really any favourite scope) taken and survived?

If I can scrape together enough money to buy an NXS compact I think, after this, I'm going to just so I can chuckle every time I look at it. Thank you sir, for making my day.

    Maggie’s Socially UNacceptable Humor

Mr. and Mrs Smith go into the doctor for her annual physical and they run a urinalysis, a couple weeks later they go back for the results and the doctor pulls the husband aside, "I'm sorry Mr. Smith but there appears to have been a slight mix-up and there was another Mrs. Smith here on the same...
