    Gunsmithing 375 Ultra magazine options

Aside from using a perch belly drop box integral bottom metal like Duane Weibe makes or Sunny hill, is there a way to fit more than 3 375 Ultras in a m700? Is there an AICS type system that would work? What about the HS Precision magazine system?

Advanced Marksmanship Whose has the best Snipers?

MARSOC seriously? Good luck with that title. What you need to do is change your handle on here, come back with something original that you didn't earn from some gay video game and try again. Honesty works, honesty and humble pie might buy you some street credit IF you make it through...

Who DOES NOT clean the copper out of the bore?

I know 2 things about Hodnett: 1. He's is a better mathamatician than I am. 2. His instruction via video is a bit hard to understand, he leaves a lot of information out, and as I have no formal sniper training, the videos leave a lot to be desired. His format for instruction via the DVD is...

questions with my 300 Win mag build

1 in 8 twist 26-28 inches long MTU to Sendaro contour. The thought behind the 1 in 8 is that you can shoot 220-230 grain bullets out of it better. Got the idea from a Todd Hodnett article off of his site. Mine is a 1-10 26 inch long Sendaro contour and I wish I had more twist and more weight.

Sniper rifle calibers, matter of future availability.

30-06 is probably the single most underrated sniper rifle cartridge I can think of. If you are worried about ammo in the future think Ought-Six.

Who DOES NOT clean the copper out of the bore?

OUCH! Talk about going full retard. Blaser barrels start at $1000 and go to $2500. I have not seen a bore guide for a Blaser rifle. So I can't knock him on that. I have never broke on in, and I hardly ever clean my K95. When I was a proud (dumb) R93 owner with about $15,000 in R93...

F T/R Competition F-Open-if you were gonna build

My F-Open gun was a 6.5x47. It was ok. I personally think if you are going to shoot open you need more gun. But our range is 0-1000 yards. Guys have good luck with the 280 Ackley, 284, 7mm WSM, 7mm RSAUM and so on in that genre. We have a lot of guys that shoot 6mm Ack Rem, 6.5x55 Ack, 243...

Just Scratched Another Ammo Supplier Off My List

Part of the problem with this buying frenzy in America is that it is hurting the rest of the worlds gun markets. People in Australia who have not been smart enough to stock up, won't be able to shoot next year if they don't already have their ammunition in hand. I have been told by several...

Best long sleeve hot weather shirts

Wool can also suck, everything is based on the enviroment where you live. Hot and humid is hard to make work no matter what you wear. Hot and dry then cotton works the best.

Who DOES NOT clean the copper out of the bore?

Eric, Full retard is kind of how we roll on this site. Because, you have about 4 groups of people: 1. Kids emotional or age driven who are on here because it of the g-whiz fan boy factor. Ages probaby 5-99. 2. Experts who are not. 3. People that have a genuine interest in long range...

16 yr old son w shin splints- help!!

I had shin splints in basic training years ago. Never been much of a runner. Took a couple years of normal 3 times a week pt to be back to normal. You are either going to have them or you aren't. No real getting around it.

Gunsmithing Think I may have screwed up...

Everyone stop! Do not use a Dremel, a Dremel is not a gunsmithing tool. Use a rasp, do it right. A Dremel will fuck up a gun in a heartbeat.

Were good 45. I was blown away by the crime underground in Anchorage every time I went there. I am hoping for the Kodiak or Fairbanks jobs to work out.

    Rifle Scopes horus reticles????

DFOOS, Never said you couldn't use it. Just saying it requires a paradigm shift in thinking. Most people are comfortable in their box. One of our next purchases (my B-I-L and me) is a spotter. Right now we don't have all the equipement that would make it ideal for a two man team in long...

    Rifle Scopes horus reticles????

We have hunted with ours for a couple years now, if I had the finances I would own nothing but Horus reticled $4000 scopes. IF I HAD THE FINANCES :( The naysayers don't like it because it doesn't look as easy as it is. Remember how cool Atari was in 1970, since then we have a whole host of...

45.308, I am and not a boomer, I joined the military the second time from Alaska and had been until my retirement serving overseas. I lucked into a couple overseas contractor gigs for the past few years. I haven't even touched America since 2010. I have been an Alaskan since 2000. I have...

    Rifle Scopes horus reticles????

Your question speaks volumes. Since this is obviously your first rodeo, the Horus reticles would be a good place for you to start. The reticles are based on MILs, not MOA. So in that they are no different than any other MIL based reticle. You have to have the money and time to learn to laser...
