Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Did this bulge occur on all cases? It could just be from hitting the brass deflector assuming you are running these through an AR. I'm no expert though. That ring around the case head looks kind of suspicious to me as well.
Also check out the tripp mags. I've been using them in my Kimber Stainless Target II (the other on roster 9mm 1911) without issue. Definitely spend more time learning the gun before you decide to do anything to it or upgrade to another model although as a Californian it may be a non issue since...
I've had great success with their rods and extended bore guides. I use them on all my rifles (AR15, 223 bolt, 308 bolt). Make sure you measure out the length and get the rod that is just longer than what you need. It makes it a little easier to push through.
Just curious, but how exactly did it wear out? I've had no problems with my chargemaster but i'm not using it nearly as much as you. I've actually been eyeing an omega powder trickler so I'm throwing that out there as an option to you with the caveat that I've never personally used it.
1911fan. I was having the same thoughts before picking up a set of msa sordins. After getting them and trying them for my particular use case which is always doubling up with plugs, they seem to have similar noise reduction to my large 26db nrr Howard leights. Gunshots do sound different but not...
When did they loosen them up? I have one purchased 8/12 and its still tight to the point I have to press check to break lockup and that's after about 1000 rounds.
There are also some CM reprogramming instructions you can use to speed up your throws. Don't be too aggressive with it or you may get over throws and it helps to tailor the programming to the charge weights you use the most.
I use a redding competition seating die for seating. Since you are a semi auto, I would look for a nice bushing full length sizing die so you can set the correct neck tension while FL sizing. I don't crimp my 308 loads.
I had some time and decided to pull off my DTA SRS skins and take a look at the chassis. I've attached a picture which shows the milling done from the factory for the A1 adjustable cheekpiece. I thought others might be interested. I was told this milling is done on all chassis as of 6 months ago...
Subarus are great cars. What exactly are your buddies being critical of? My buddy had 2005 STI and it was a beast. After basic bolt ons and a tune it was 350rwhp. I convinced my mom to replace her toyota with a legacy and when my girlfriends car craps out it will be replaced with an impreza...
I just picked up a DTA SRS with a 308 conversion. Looking at the prices I was quoted I think you could get new for around what he's asking even with the extras. I would definitely see if he has a little wiggle room in there.
