Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
They say there won't be tax between 2 individuals on face to face transfers but the FFL can charge their transfer fee. The really shitty part is if you are caught selling w/o the 4473 the first time its a gross misdemeanor and the second is a class C felony!
Yeah, don't wanna be confused come november. I get so tired of hearing the unknowing sheeple talk about being able to "buy" guns online. No common sense anymore, just masses willing to absorb mis-information. Sucks! Maybe we should invite some of the confused to a steel shoot, I'll put it on :)...
washington HI 594 Hey Guys, Not sure if anyone has seen this but its gonna be voted on in Nov. and affects private firearm sales. It is labeled under HI594 and completely outlaws private transfer of firearms unless the sale falls into a few small exclusions...

Factory barrels are notorious for having stress in the steel which causes the flyers, if you are goin to keep it I would recommend sending it to 300 below for cryoing. Or start to consider a new tube. Chris Benchmark Barrels
I like to use 2 part epoxy resin for sealing wood, it penetrates and is sandable. I use it on high wear knife scales in wood and G10 as well as a sealant for carbon fiber. You can pick it up or order it from fiberglass stores. And if you ever decide to paint over it, it will stick where as with...
The section between the rear ring and front ring on the Stillers is thick and can slow down the ejection on brass, we've seen that on 338's and 338 imp's. the other thing is to notch the top of the extractor with a end mill so the "claw" grabs lower on the case, we've done that with great...
Buy a kestral, cry once and dial for both wind and elevation. I went from the hold over school 4 yrs ago and never looked back. The biggest thing to figure out is if you want front focal or second and mils or MOA. Some guys say the kesteral is slow but with use and practice I've shot 3 different...
The KRG X-ray is a great budget chassis. You will want a ground recoil lug .200-.250 is fine, that way you know everything is true when you thread that new barrel on. You can run a a remmy barrel nut system and shave alittle $$ of your build as well. Chris Benchmark Barrels
338 Lapuas will have better life than that, and you will be looking for scaling in the throat. It will be visible with your eye when it gets really bad. Most barrels that come through here that are shot out have around 5-8" of erosion. The thing you will notice is erratic rounds when you shoot...
The easiest thing to do is figure out where the cleaning sweet spot is, our barrels, for example like to be cleaned every 200-300 round or when accuracy falls. Its easy to get into the clean every 20 rounds mindset but that will never let your barrel set or normalize with firing. Obviously every...
The problem with tapping a break with a hand tap is its easy to get the tap out of alignment and make your threads untrue, thats why tapping is always done single point in a lathe or cnc. No one likes baffle strikes :) Chris Benchmark
That is gonna be a tough thread pitch to find, most are gonna be 5/8x24 so cans will also thread on. The Benchmark tactical, formerly the Benchmark Muscle, will time with shims and the supplied set screw. But with your pitch you will need to either take it down to 1/2x28 or redo the tennon to...
Thanks everyone for coming out and playing! I had a great time and sounds like everyone else did as well. I can post scores if if you all like. Just let me know. Also don't forget the guys that helped me, Brent, Brian, Nick, Dan and Garret. And last but not least, our prize table/raffle...
We are meeting at 0900 at the bottom. I will have a quick safety brief, most everyone I've shot with or have been at my other shoots so I can keep it short. Then we will run 20 mins up the mtn and have a shotgun start. We still need spotting scopes, if you got'em and they will travel with you...
