Re: Seating depth variations Bullet length does vary. Measure from the ogive if you want consistent readings. OR find the seating depth that shoots well and go with it.

Re: .243 Ackley Couple things to consider...the Hornady 95 gr SST is a flat base bullet. Some rifles don't shoot boat tail bullets well OR they're very picky on seating depth. I've had this issue and I've seen other folks experience it as well. It's usually worse in smaller cal stuff. I...

Re: New to reloading need a starting point for .223 IF you have a Rem 700 SPS Varmint...I quickly discovered mine hates boat tail bullets, loves the 53gr SMK & 55gr SPT.....either one with 26gr Varget.....Bingo! I use the SMK for target fun and the SPT for critters that enter my sanctuary...

So what's really going on with the complaints of the Rem 700 .338 Lapua? I was considering buying one, but some folks say to wait. I have no clue what these complaints are.

Re: Reloading question LorenaF.....what cartridge are you speaking of? 30-06, 308, mag, etc??? Sounds like you're speaking about .30 cal. Also, what gun, rifling twist, barrel length, etc? DO NOT worry. This is not rocket science. You'll be fine. Btw...women are naturally better shooters than...
