PSA: Don't let your bolt gun fall with the bolt open while cleaning it. **UPDATE: FIXED**

I would remove the barrel with an outside action wrench before I would take an extractor to the bolt. Once the barrel is loosened it will take all the pressure off of the lugs and you should be able to remove the bolt with ease.

    Accu Tac Bipod?

Make sure you locktite the rubber feet as they have a tendency to loosen up and are very easy to loose in the field. Other than that they are great. I sell quite a few of them and personally like them because of how easy they are to deploy and adjust.

    Gunsmithing Preferred end mills

Garr tool, Lakeshore Carbide, SGS, Niagara, OSG, Harvey Tool, are my go to carbide endmills. I never buy a kit, I buy what I need usually 6-12 at a time. Harvey Tool, and Lakeshore Carbide make some gunsmith specific endmills that help when milling things like 80% AR lowers, 1911s, and...

Bergara B-14R Range Report and Assessment

Has anyone tried bedding one yet in the factory stock. I know I had to bed quite a few b14 hmr to get them to group. I think the thick uneven paint they use on top of the aluminum bedding blocks creates a stress riser on the action and allows horizontal and verticle shift. I have a bergara...

    Peloton bike users?

I use an Echelon bike. Echelon is a direct competitor to peloton. Very similar to the peloton except the app may be a little better on the peloton but I purchased my bike and two years of classes for $1600 which is a lot cheaper than the peloton. The peloton was $2000+ for the bike and $50 a...

    Testing various brands 22RF

A good friend of mine has a 50yd test tunnel. In fact before Lapua and Eley built thier tunnels they consulted with my friend on how to build a test tunnel. We take testing to the extreme but have found ammo, Eley and Lapua, that will consistently place in the top 5 at indoor ARA benchrest...

    Bergara B-14 HMR Accuracy Problems

A customer bought a B14 HMR from me in .308 that shot very similar 3/4-1.5moa. I took it and removed all the paint underneath the action then bedded the rifle with Devcon. It is now shooting 1/4-3/8 moa. The thick blobs of paint must have been creating a high point that the action was sitting...

    Hearing protection

Go to an audiologist ( someone who sells hearing aids). They can make you custom molded ear plugs that are comfortable enough to wear all day. My dad is practically deaf without hearing aids and in talking with his hearing doctor is how I recieved mine. They are the same thing you see...

    Vudoo V22 cleaning rod diameter?

I have built a bunch of benchrest .22lr rifles. I have seen customers ruin championship caliber barrels by over cleaning them or not using a good tight fitting bore guide. Your bore guide should be tight so it doesn't allow the cleaning rod to flex and slap the rifling or drap priming compound...

    The smoothest action.

That is the problem with Bat actions is the wait time. You really can't go wrong with any of the custom action makers. I wouldn't have a problem recommending any of them.

    The smoothest action.

I have or have had just about every action manufacturers action come through the shop at one time or another. Right now I have 2 Bat benchrest actions, 2 Bat Tactical actions, 3 Defiance actions, 2 ARC Nucleus actions, and a couple of Bighorns, and an Impact, 2 Stillers and various other...
