    Goal Zero?

The nomad 7/guide 10 starter kit is goal 0's most popular product. We sell them at the store I work at and they always get good reviews, if all you are looking to do is upkeep the charge on one phone (or like device) then it is great. Ive been to tradeshows, where I have had the opportunity to...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Spartan Blades alternative?

This is very opinion based, if you are looking for comparable quality knives this list could go on forever. There is no shortage on market of knives that are nearly indestructible, and which will accomplish nearly any task you throw at them. Asking people who makes a higher or equivalent quality...

Rifle Scopes In Hand - Trijicon TARS

Re: In Hand - Trijicon TARS NEED pics of the glass and a review on how it behaves. Ive been resisting buying one of these for a good while now, but I really am a huge fan of Trijicon (I like my optics bombproof) I'm hoping this is the review that finally convinces me to take the dive.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Handgun - Surfire X300 Ultra - Or Something else?

Re: Handgun - Surfire X300 Ultra - Or Something else? I like the light a lot, and 500 lumens is more than optimally suited for carbine use. Again though, if you and that carbine are going inside make sure you aren't putting yourself at risk having such a bright light.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Handgun - Surfire X300 Ultra - Or Something else?

Re: Handgun - Surfire X300 Ultra - Or Something else? The blinding power of the ultra is devastating and disorienting. A 200 lumen light will cause any bad guy to give pause, a 500 will hurt, bad. If you are primarily outside when you need your sidearm, I would say to get the ultra because...

Rifle Scopes Performance of the Trijicon 5-20 Accupoint

Re: Performance of the Trijicon 5-20 Accupoint Indeed, despite it's flaws I love mine. I certainly consider it money well spent.

Rifle Scopes Performance of the Trijicon 5-20 Accupoint

Re: Performance of the Trijicon 5-20 Accupoint I have one right now and love it, glass is great. Totally bombproof, and Trijicon's illumination is top notch, the fiber optic setup works well to low light and the tritium does a good job taking over from there in dark environments giving you...

    Anybody here sell Thermarest?

Re: Anybody here sell Thermarest? Go to Eastern Mountain Sports for Thermarest if there is one near you. They have an awesome variety of self, and manually inflating sleeping pads. Unless you are going to be sleeping somewhere that it is quite cold though, I would go with the dramatically...

Why is Arc' Teryx so damn expensive?

Re: Why is Arc' Teryx so damn expensive? ArcTeryx is expensive, the quality of their equipment is great, but not remotely worth what they are charging. That being said, you should look to Mountain Hardwear, they make outdoor clothing that is better than ArxTeryx, and comes in at around Half...

Rifle Scopes 1-4x for CQB to Mid-Range: Starting from Scratch

Re: 1-4x for CQB to Mid-Range: Starting from Scratch Here's a vote for the Trijicon TR24. As a proud owner of an accupoint I can say that while some may say they are lacking in the reticle department, I think the green triangle BDC is exceptional for close to mid range. The accupoints are...

Rifle Scopes Do I need an Aimpoint???

Re: Do I need an Aimpoint??? +1 to this. Both Aimpoints and EOTechs are pretty useless if your vision is bad and neither of them are cheap. Also, while they certainly have the cool factor, I think the majority of people would be happier with an adjustable magnification low power scope.

Rifle Scopes Do I need an Aimpoint???

Re: Do I need an Aimpoint??? A holographic weapon sight is not a red dot sight. EOTech weapon sights are holographic, and available with several reticles to suit whatever your purpose may be, an aimpoint has a dot. I have extensive experience with both systems and I can comfortably say the...

    Gunsmithing Muzzle threading help

Re: Muzzle threading help Gun Dealer online is the winner. Seemed like nice guys over the phone and their turnaround time is only about 3 days right now, the price was great, $55.
