Is there a sweet spot that the action screws should be torqued to? I put a B&C M40 on my m700 AAC-SD and torqued to 45 in/lbs... Does this sound right? Nothing came with the stock that said otherwise.
I might have the opportunity to pick one up that has only had about 50 rounds down the tube and one owner for $900.... Think that's a deal? Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
B&C M40 on AAC-SD Check out this thread. I just replaced the original stock on my AAC-SD with a B&C Tactical Medalist M40 and love it! http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-bolt-action-rifles/215149-b-c-m40-stock-aac-sd-308-a.html
Oops... I torqued mine to 65in/lbs per John McQuay at 8541tactical. He added an M40 to his budget build AAC and said to tighten the front and rear to 65.... Should I back mine off some?
I just received my Bell & Carlson M40 stock by the big brown truck from Red Hawk Rifles in Colorado. It's going on a m700 .308 AAC-SD. I got it switched out during my lunch break and it looks break. Stock fit the action great, and barrell is completely free floating (paper test). MUCH better IMO...
This may be a dumb question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. What barrell would the one on the 700 AAC-SD .308 fall under. I've been looking around on Stocky's and the options are either for a 700 BDL S/A Sendero/Varmint, or a 700 BDL S/A M24 MilSpec.....
Are any of these stocks considered a bolt-on and go? or do they all need some type of bedding done? Also, does anyone have any experience with a JAE-700 stock?
Subscribed to this thread! I have the exact same question for my 700 SPS AAC-SD in .308. Any pictures of this rifle in above mentioned stocks would be awesome as well!
Does anyone know of a gun shop near the Houston area, that carries some of the higher line items (McMillan, Manners, HS Precision stocks) and has a good shop. I'm wanting to upgrade my 700 SPS AAC stock, but want to get my hands on some of my options before purchasing.
Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a suppressor for my Rem. 700 SPS AAC-SD (20" 1/10 twist). I've been told by a local gun shop that the Yankee Hill QD is the way to go and pretty well priced. I've been looking at going with the actual QD 7.62 brake for the mounting point. Anyone have any...
