Just curious- how do you know how much material can be safely removed from a slide without risking catastrophic failure? Just thinking about problems they had with Berettas a while back.
I have a gas gun in 6 ARC coming soon and I am wondering if folks have just been getting regular sizing dies, or will I need the small base dies to run this reliably? Thanks in advance.
I bought 2 suppressors around Christmas of 2021. The gun shop ran it through the e-forms system. I set up the e-forms account on Jan 5, 2022. Got the first approval 3/14, the second 3/18. Went to the Portland office, if that matters when you do it this way.
I have shot 5.56 ammo in my 700 a fair amount, because it used to be cheap, and never had any problems. Accuracy was definitely less than my hand loads, but that is to be expected.

One thing about pre-64 M70 actions is that if you blow a case- admittedly an unlikely event- the brass bits will blow back at your face on the left side of the action. There is nothing over there to stop it. I have one in 338 WM and my great old gunsmith in Arizona pointed that out to me one...
