I do like my 2005 OBXT 5MT, but if I had it to do over again, I'd test-drive a 3rd-gen 6cyl before deciding. I had a 2011 Outback 2.5i Limited. I didn't like the 4cyl & CVT in the 4th gen.
I have the 2005 Outback XT (turbo) Limited. I'm really happy with it so far. Just hit 106K miles. 5-speed manual. ~250HP / ~250 ft/lbs of torque. A lot of the WRX appeal, but likely to not have been subjected to the typical WRX owner. --
I ordered the SWFA version as well. It wasn't at all clear from their website if the "regular" Bobro mount they're selling has the screws on top or on the bottom. They're using an older picture.
I've been tumbling with the SS media for 2hrs, dry, then lube, size, trim. Then back into the SS media for 1hr and dry. 2lbs of 308-class brass is about 87pcs. --
