Re: Crossbreed holster squeaks I've used a Supertuck for 3-4 months now carrying a S&W M&P Shield. It squeaked for a day or two until I gave it a good application of Obenauf's leather preservative. Since then it's been silent and comfy.
Re: federal nyclad Nyclad ammo is now being made by CCI-Speer in Lewiston Idaho for Herter's brand (Cabelas). Don't know if there is anything but 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP currently being produced. Herter's Nyclad
Re: Where's Weaver? Weaver is in the midst of a relocation. ATK's Onalaska WI. location where Weaver and a couple other brands were located, was shut down recently to consolidate operations. They are being being relocated to other ATK plants across the U.S. Please be patient with them...
Re: Remember to buckle up! Wearing a seatbelt is an absolute given for my family and I, no question. The thing that get's me, is seeing a motorcyclist buzzing down the road not wearing a helmet. WTF?!?!?...
Re: DIP 25 MOA Rail question Are you measuring the base taper with it mounted on the gun? I don't trust the depth (beam end) of calipers to measure anything closer than .01" tolerance. If so, are you taking into account any difference in the barrel and action diameters? With the front of the...
Re: DIP 25 MOA Rail question Every manufacturer sets their own tolerances on machined parts. DIP may have sent one out the door with less than advertised MOA. I wouldn't sweat it honestly. Do you need a true 25 MOA base or can you get by with a 21-ish MOA? My opinion, just mount it and rock...
Re: DIP 25 MOA Rail question The scope base pads that contact the receiver are approximately 5 inches in length on both the EGW and DIP. How did you measure the pad thickness at 6 inches apart?
Re: .17 HMR Tracer Ammo Nobody makes tracer bullets for the HMR and probably won't anytime soon. I don't think there's enough market for them in this loading. If you want tracers, look to other calibers to fill your desire.

Re: Alexander Arms 17HMR AR I'd like to see some close up pics of the fired casings out of one of these uppers before I form an opinion. A blow back operated HMR is just asking for ruptured cases and injured shooters. If a guy was to create a gas impingement or gas piston system for the...
Re: Remington 700 long action scope base question I'd measure the overall height on one of the pads at the loading port area and at the outside edge/end of the base. If the measurements are different by a couple of thousandths over the inch or two of distance, you have a tapered base.
Re: I didn't sleep at Holiday Inn last night... If it is machined aluminum that has been anodized, it will not conduct electricity. The anodize acts as an insulator.
