me and my dad both have Elcan Specter DR on our DD MK-18. We are looking to put some nightvision in FRONT of the Elcan Scope, (Preferably generation 2) I would also like it to be compatiable with my M1A (which has a trijicon 5x20), any ideas, feedback on anything would be greatly appreciated.

I have found an HK416 handguard for sale, and was curious if it would fit a normal smith and Wesson m&p-15? M&P-15 has a carbine length handguard so I know I would need a low profile gas block? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
