What kind of bottom metal is that? I dread the gap the long action stock has between the bottom metal and the "wings" on the stock near the mag well. But yours doesn't look too bad at all being an xm. Modified MDT xm mag?
Yes the str is damned smooth and fast. The Sauer 90 however, is a whole other league of smooth. You can add Sauer 80+90 and RPA to the list also https://rpainternational.co.uk/
So do I ! If they do make it i hope they do the mag well area prettier than on the long actions. On the pictures i have see it is does not look nowhere as slick as the short action version.
Researching a bit it seems the leicas and swaros are pretty close in low light performance. May have been an issue related to earlier models or other brands/constructions.
It may be because they are some of the cheapest match bullets around in Scandinavia. And in good supply at that. The factory loaded 6.5x55 Norma ammo is cheap and usually shoots really well in most rifles. Velocity is a bit up and down on them though.
The str 200 is produced in a "phoenix" version now. With a nifty chassis from LRD Sweden. You can buy the chassis as jet-01 from them as well. The main drawback of the str200 is the lack of high capacity magazines.
https://marchscopes.com/scopes/d28hv52wfiml/ Is fairly light weight. Just around your msrp See the review from glassaholic here: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/march-4-5-28x52-high-master-review-and-comparison-to-tangent-theta-5-25x56.7080602/
https://www.steinertsensingsystems.com/product-details/neopod-ultralight-hunting-bipod/ If you want light weight. Around 3oz. Comes with a friction lock now. The one I had didn't have that.
I find the spuhr hunting mounts looks pretty good on this scope, they do not obstruct view of the turrets. The scope is short(!), so if you have an extended rail on your action you will probably have to use the 34mm high mount. Sorry that the photo is a bit out of focus.
