Re: Ejector swipes from my SASS? As I understand it, this is caused by an Ejector that protrudes from the bolt face when a round is chambered. Its either because the ejector hole is too shallow, the spring is not compressing fully, the ejector is too long, or a tolerance stack from all 3.
Re: M1A vs Ar-10, am I too infatuated with the M1A? I went down the precision M1A road a while back. Its a nostalgic platform, and a lot of folks have a sentimental attachment to it. The problem is, the M1A is a hard platform to make accurate, and harder to keep it accurate. In the long...
Re: SR 25 decision. Opinions ? It wasn't really directed at you. You seem to keep repeating the same thing over and over. Was it 1 email, or a dozen? Were you emailing from a domain that gets filtered into spam folders by corporate email systems? Did you try contacting their QC folks...
Re: SR 25 decision. Opinions ? New EC or ECC. They flat run. I was in the LAV Class, and aside from shooter induced issues, the only 'problem' was traced back to an ammo issue. The newer KAC guns flat run, and will eat just about any quality ammo you feed them. (Think of it this way...

Re: Titanium fire pin does it help? They don't last very long compared to a steel firing pin. The one I tried lasted about 1200 rds before it started puncturing primers, which really caused problems. . . . . Stick with a normal firing pin. Buy spares with the $ you would have spent on the...
Re: Longest shot you've made with an AR-15 600 with an ACOG with a 16 inch barrel. I tried 1k with my 20 inch barrelled service rifle. Gave up after 8 rounds and switched to my M1A. . . . .

Re: Convince me to get an SR-15 E3 IWS.. Its a good turnkey system. Comes with a lot of bells and whistles for the $, and its available at a good price. Downside is the non-standard bolt/Extractor, so spares are going to be a bit more$ than normal AR parts. Its a carbine, accuracy is...
Re: KAC EMC vs. SCAR 17...which one... EMC. The SCAR just feels cheap to me. Its lightweight, sure, but its got a short forend, (I tend to shoot with a grip further forward on the rifle) expensive mags , and it achieves its low felt recoil by using a brake. The EMC, while more expensive...
Re: Whats your favorite AR-15 Match Trigger ? Giessle. The KAC isn't bad, but its outdated and just as expensive as a Giessle. The Jewell is amazing, but probably as complex as an AR trigger can get. . . . Wouldn't recommend the CLE/Bushmaster offerings. Seen too many fail in ways that...
Re: M1A's, M21's, and M25's show em off! Full blown NM M1A build, no expense spared, no tweak overlooked. Scoped it for an M21/M25ish clone. Shot like it had eyes. Sold it because I no longer had the range to stretch its legs, and its a damn shame to keep a stick like that cooped up...
Re: 1/7 vs 1/8 vs 1/9 for a 5.56 1 in 7. Unless you're pushing a 40 gr projo at 3800+, it'll handle anything you shoot through it. Especially if you're looking to shoot in cold environments.
