The Bolt pulled out of the action past the bolt release lever if I ran it aggressively. I haven't shot the new one yet (work has been stupid busy, thanks Biden), but it definitely doesn't have the same issue
The mag issue was something I noticed as well. Switched over to Accurate mags and it seems to have addressed the problem. I have a friend that runs a Bravo that experienced the same issue with the same solution
Not worried about it, it happens. Danny and Matty are always super responsive and helpful. I'll live with a weird thing like that from a solid group of folks which your company has always been for me. Plus I've got a Bravo, an Element and a PH2, so you might say I've drank the Kool-aid lol
Picked up one in 6.5cm (the only caliber I could find in stock) about a month ago. It shot lights out the first 200 or so rounds. +/- 1/2 MOA with Hornady ELDMs. It shot the 140s slightly better than the 147s. Unfortunately, I took it to a PRS match, and when I started running the bolt a little...
Im doing my first from-scratch rifle build, and Im trying to pick what action to use. The rifle will be lightweight 308 or 6.5cm with an 18-inch barrel. the chassis Im using requires R700 compatibility, and I'm planning on running AICS mags. I've narrowed it down to these three manufacturers, Im...
Im looking at building a lightweight, short action, 18" barrel rifle, and Im having a little trouble picking a caliber. Trying to decide between 308 and 6.5cm. I have a couple of longer bolt guns, this one is primarily being built to be as handy as possible. So assuming the 18 inch part is...
I bought a PST gen 2 5-25x50 (mil, FFP) as a placeholder for a scope I had on order. Its been on my Seekins for about 4 months, probably 300 rounds through the rifle in that time. The scope is spotless, comes with the original box and paperwork. Asking $700. Can add Vortex PMR rings (30mm Low...
But isn't that initial movement you are referencing the same from round to round within a mag? and if its the same round to round, shouldn't it have a net-zero affect on accuracy from round to round? Thats the point being made on the other thread-that the last round in a mag is inherently less...
The bullet should be gone before the bolt makes virtually any backward movement, and WELL before lock-back occurs. that should negate any effect of friction of the bolt on bullet vs follower I would think. 1:15 mark for any of you who dont want to listen to Larry...
In an extended conversation on another forum, a couple of folks are claiming that when shooting AR's, they consistently get a POI shift in the last round fired on a given magazine if the round is also the last round in the mag. This seems unlikely to be a mechanical thing to me, but I wanted to...
I'll have to take a look at these. I've played with the REC-7 a lot, but not the -10. Also, it looks. like Barrett lists these as 1 1:10 twist now as well
I wouldn't mind adding another LaRue to the closet. interestingly enough, I've had a couple local dealers tell me they would bet Id have issues with that exact gun (likely because they couldn't sell me one?) This is the route that's probably at the top of my list currently. I had an MWS years...
What AR platform rifle would you buy if you had a huge supply of incredibly cheap 7.62? I'm trying to find out more details, but I believe its 147gr ammo, usually resides in links feeding a Dillon M134. Basically this will just be for fun, but Iwant to know it will function well, and I talked to...
