Your moms house
I have heard and even jokingly used the term “Coast Guard Special Forces” tongue in cheek but they actually existed for a brief period, I even met some of them in my south of the border travels. I was active duty when DIATT (Drug Interdiction Assistance Training Team) was active and not much was known about them even in house.

Think NNBIS and a host of other alphabet agencies, along with a host of "Services" operating in the region. Key West had plenty going on but Homestead AFB in the 80's? That place was HOT! Everybody got to play and the Coast Guard was not joked about when I was down there. Held in the highest regard.

Its not an adventure its just a job. I have dealt with them on the maritime and oil spill response side for years, 3+ decades, The old salts are gone and they have been turned into just another weigh station for social justice warriors. The helicopter and air service are top notch, rescue swimmers without doubt the best of the best, but the other 99.9 % are a waste.
