I'm looking for a variable 2x or so to 10x. What do ya'll think of the US Optics 1.8-10 and the NF 2.5-10 it will be going on an AR mostly shooting out to 300 yards I currently have an acog and the 4x and bdc aren't doing it for me.

you shooting at steel, movers, groups? anything with a ffp like the 1.8-10 on low power is useless. I don't imagine you do too much run&gun or you would love the acog.

Why do you say it's useless? I was looking at the USO JNG reticle and it seems like it'd be perfect.

For a longer AR, 18-20 inch barrel I think a 1.8x10 USO SN3 would be perfect. It might be a bit much for a 16 inch or less barrel. I reciently picked one up for my M1A. Still waiting for the mount though.

Well I'm going with the SN-3 or SN-4 with JNG reticle I talked to Jeff at USO and he said the ring would be about 34 MOA at 100 yards which is plenty big for me. I've used eotechs before and they have a 65moa ring and it's too big so I'm thinking the 34 which is a little more than half will be a nice size and should be good for the in close stuff. Now I just need to sell my TA31 Ecos to fund it.
