New to the forum and I tried the search so forgive me if this question has been asked. Just purchased a Savage 110 BA in 338. When attempting to mount the scope base (all 4 screws provided are the same length), the front screw only screws in about 3 threads before it bottoms out on the barrel threads. Needless to say it is far from even touching the base much less securing it. Has anyone come across this?? Thanks in advance.
