Can't find anyplace better to ask this. Maybe someone with better eyes and/or knowledge can tell me, is this a SA cartouche?
Just got this in a trade today, and I know next to nothing about Trapdoors other than they're cool!
Serial number date is 2nd quarter of 1882, April I would think since it's very close to the March cutoff.
And I think somebody carved his initials into the stock at some point, and he wasn't shy about it. 1 letter on each side, about 2" high.
