Shooters,

Here is the match program for the 2012 Tennessee F-Class Long-Range State Championship to be held September 1-2, 2012 (Labor Day weekend) at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN.

A few more notes:

- This match will be run by non-competing officials.
- If conditions warrant, we will ask people to bring canopies again to cover the entire firing line. This worked well last time. I will keep you posted.
- Please let me know in the next month or so if you are 80+% sure that you will attend (via e-mail below). This is not a commitment of any sort, but it does help us plan out the event a little better.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Thank you,

Re: 2012 TN F-Class LR State Championship

Shooters,

Here are a few updates/reminders regarding our match this weekend:

Canopies - Please bring a canopy if you have one. If we decide to set them up, we will do so before anyone brings any other equipment to the line. This worked well last time.

Awards - We have a nice collection of trophies and medals for the various winners outlined in the program. I think you will be impressed with the quantity and quality. We will put them on display when you sign in.

Match Officials - We have a team of non-shooting volunteers giving up most of their holiday weekend to run this match for you. Please be nice to them so that they agree to do it again next year. They will be lead by Match Director Mark Long, who is also the new TNSSA High Power Rifle Competition Director. Please take the time to introduce yourself to him at some point during the weekend.

Weather - Bring your rain gear. This is the State Championship, and we have no possibility to reschedule to a different weekend in 2012. Monday is not available either. Therefore, it will not be possible to cancel the match on any given day until that very morning's scheduled start time at the earliest. This is also how they run things at the National Championships at Camp Perry and the F-Class Nationals. Rest assured that safety regarding electrical storms will be of paramount importance.

We understand that some of you may be traveling a considerable distance and/or staying at hotels. With the unpredictable nature of the weather, we are simply unable to give 24-hours notice regarding cancellations. We will not be operating a hotline to field calls about the weather and/or cancellations. Please use this information to make your own decision about attending the match.

With that said, let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. See you out there...

Thank you,

Re: 2012 TN F-Class LR State Championship

It was a really well run match. Scores were usually up on the board by the time you got your gear off of the line. They kept it moving and even with 4 relays we got everything on target and targets in the shed by about 1400 on Sunday.

Thanks to the crew that ran this one.
