2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Yes we coming. Very unprepared but coming. I'm gonna shoot all day Sunday and get some dope on these guns. Both of our rigs are mostly unproven for dope so we just have to use the "force"

Did you change rigs? No more Savage?

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

I did sell it. I wanted something a little smother and tighter to operate. I had Josh @ Gap build me a gas gun in 6 creed. I also have Moon @ Cresent customs building me a another 280AI except it is built on a Pierce action. My hunting guns are still built on savages. I built a 2 car garage and put in a pool this summer. I plan to shoot some matches in 2013 and get back on track. Just havnt had time to shoot with me building the whole thing.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Registration mailed today.

Psmith and I will see y'all in January with 6.5/7mm rifles, and more respect for how much (or little) time 8 minutes actually is.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

About the box... will it be kept out of any rain while we are shooting stages? Just thinking about how to pack it and whether or not to consider water-proofing certain items.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

We will be having a practice weekend the weekend of December 1st and 2nd.

If anyone plans on attending this weekend please contact Joe at [email protected]

The cost of the weekend is $25.00 per day or $40.00 for the weekend and you will pay Rockcastle Shooting Center when you arrive.

Nick at Rockcastle stated he would give a room discount if anyone was shooting that weekend.

I will have people running the shooting line. You will be able to shoot out to 1200 yards that weekend.

We will have steel targets set from 300 to 1200 yards and stands for 100 and 200.

Your ass better have signed up for TM. I'd love to hike this sucker again with ya.

I was too chicken to do ETM. I've very much looking forward to a warm bed and hot shower. LOL.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Looks like my partner may have an Army school commitment, may be lookin for partner for this if he cant make it, prefer to do ETM...physical component/exposure not an issue, have crampons, will travel...Joe can fill ya in...

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Guys I keep getting emails that my app is on the way. We only have about 8 slots for the match. If I have talked with you personally then your slot is secure.

The match design is shaping up nicely. The stages will be physical and challenging and still have the fun factor in them. It will be very important to know your partners gun as well as each team will have to switch weapons for 2 stages.

Working on division numbers and will post up how many in each division in the next week or so.

Hey, that's great! I really liked the previous format of the team switching rifles for some stages. This is gonna be FUN if we don't get another Arctic blast.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

The website stays that laser range finders will be allowed on some stages. Will one be provided, or do we have to bring our own?

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Can I have a clarification on the water for ETM division. What form will it be offered? Bottles, jugs, hose... And how accessible during the match and camping time. Just trying to plan my pack for canteen, pouch for bottles, bladder or other. Thanks.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Zach and Mike are officially shooting this. We look forward to meeting a lot of you. Time to dust of the boots and get our shoot on.

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Joe,

Any chance we can get an approximate round count per day for the primary and secondary shooter?

Also, is the 2'x2'x2' dimensions the interior dimensions of the box for ETM?

Re: 2013 JP Rifles/ Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Water will be readily available for the extreme tough man division at all times. While your walking it may be a little tough but we will get it there if you need it. The water will be available out of an igloo cooler.

The dimensions on the box are outside dimensions and it has a lid that must close. Each team will zip tie their box with ties provided and initial the tie so know one can tamper with it.

Nevermind. I spotted the answer right after I sent this.

Exactly what I was getting at knight. If the box is wood, that could really.shrink the capacity.

Where are you located at? I have shot matches with this guy without ever actually practicing with him prior to the match and have had pretty good luck. He is also from SC Kansas and he might be up for it.
If He is wants to do the ETM, you better save a little room in you box for a bottle of whiskey, he is one of my buddies and I don't want him drinking my stash.

I am hoping it is a random assortment of different camo patterns or none of my gear will match for sure.

Also, is it equipped with a coffee maker?
