I started playing with the Berger 215's. it's shooting realllllly good for a factory rifle. Load in picture is with 74.0 grains of h1000 with Rp brass fgm 215 m at 2.925 to ogive. (A lot of free bore) those are 10/1000 in the lands. Got a few different loads to try. I also am shooting 75.2 in .2 grain intervals up to 76.2. Shot the 75 grain loads and was smacking steel at 500 yards first pull of the trigger. Zero is at 105 yards gives me a 8.76 moa come up at 500 which means they are running in the 2860 range. Very impressed with this rifle. All I did was put a brake and a Jewell trigger on it....

4 shots at 105 yards

Dang, and I've been wanting a 5R .300 Winnie too! This ain't helping anything! Any pics of the brake? How brisk is recoil with the brake on honestly?

That's some really slick shooting btw :)

Take the recoil and 1/2 it. I'm not even sure what kind of break it is. Just told the smith to give me something to help with recoil.

Nice work! I'm really thinking about doing his exact setup. What load are you going to use and what is the velo? Thanks for sharing!

Well I was originally running h1000 but ran out and switched to reloader 22. 72.5 grains in RP brass, 2.907 to ogive. Fgm215m. It yields just under 2900 fps. And shoots just as good. At 920 yards it was 22.01 moa to get there with a 105 yard zero and they were shooting 3 to 4" groups. Very very impressed.
Now I've got 10#'s of h1000 and no more 215's!!

wow just under 2900fps, thats impressive. this pumps me up since i don't have the funds for a custom rifle that i want, but i think i could manage this setup. those groups are great. thanks for sharing!
