I hope it was for real, but targetsports just had Winchester 223 55g for $350/1K! and if you're a club member that was $320/1k!!!!! Not too much worse than before the insanity. Needless to say, their website is now down.

Now, the real question is ...when will 270 win be back :).

I noticed at 2:30 this morning, Bass Pro had Federal 130g Bergers. BPS seems to get a lot of stuff in, not big shipments, but they are getting it.

So they listed it for sale at one price and then cancelled your order once they realized they weren't charging enough?
It appears like that. Nothing in the note; just cancelled. I kinda figured that would happen. There was a "!" on ammoseek, but it was at the 350/1000 on the website. So of course I bought. Figuring full well to get cancelled; but took the bait. A little pissed, but I suspect they used an old template and didn't fix the price.

Could be they ran out before my order was processed as I was busy adding 1 case. Who knows....

Oh look... one more place that can fuck off! They should have honored the price. Bet they voted for the Biden, too.

If I were you, I would have placed the order paying $700, then dispute the charge and say you never got it.

Pretty shitty I'll grant you; but, mistakes do happen and I'd be willing to bet if they themselves paid 500-600 per 1000 then they could have had massive loss right there. Not interested in less competition (and since I "pay" to get a discount...well, they can go broke AFTER my club membership expires).

Biden voters...perhaps...in CT...high probability of Biden voters. Lately I've been buying more stuff from Outdoor Limited.

Noted.

Do not do business with that dude^

I bet it was supposed to be $350/500 and got entered wrong.

Funny how situations like this turn everyone commie.

High prices promote rationing and production. Idiots

@deersniper. I am running the 145gr ELD-X in the 270. Pretty cool round; but....sparingly I use. I guess if I go deer hunting I'll use them. Not really my target gun; though, really with that 145 it could be. About 4-5 shots before the barrel is quite hot.

I don't know how you guys feel about Midwayusa, some folks don't like thier price for shipping, but here is a tale:

A couple weeks ago, I was looking for 125 gn bullets for my 300Blk. NOBODY had bullets in stock for less than about $0.30 per.

Well, I'm looking on Midway and they didn't have any 125 gn Speer TNT's instock at the $0.17 price. But to my surprise, they were available for backorder at that price. Later that day, I check the website again and it says,"not available for backorder". So I fully expected to get my order cancelled.

One week later, I get a confirmation email from Midway that my order of 1,500 125 TNT's is inbound. The only thing I can conclude is that those fuckers fixed the website to reflect the current situation, then went and found some bullets to honor the order.

Yeah, their (Midway) shipping turns me off a little; BUT after a long hiatus I find myself buying more stuff from Larry Potterfield. He's a great spokesman for HIS company and while I think he's expanded in area maybe he shouldn't have. Other than ammo, I tend to use Brownells, Midway, Grafs, Midwest Gunworks (shotgun - though they've really expanded...like a LOT).

Say what you want about Midway and my wife will join in on the badmouthing.
However, I ordered 3 different sets of reloading dies and they arrived ahead of schedule. Then they arrived again a few days later. I checked my CC and then called Midway. I was told to keep the double order because the return shipping, restocking, etc would end up just costing them at least as much as the extra order.
I haven't sold the duplicates yet but that's my plan.

I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about midway. Every time I’ve ordered something lately it has shipped the next day. I’ve never backordered from them but looks like I should try it.
