Look behind you...
Anyone know of a good way to shorten .223 brass for use in a 300 aac? I've tried a lathe, saw, pipe cutter, bandsaw, and trimmer, but everything seems to take too long, or ruin the brass. I wanna make about 1000 rounds, but I dont wanna spend 1000 hours doing it. If this has been covered before, sorry, link please? It seems like the trimmer works the best so far, but after trimming with the .22 pilot, they need to be trimmed again with the .30 insert. PITA if you ask me. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

He goes by the same name here on the 'hide. I just got 500 pieces back from him a few weeks ago and was very happy with what I received. Great guy to deal with

Re: 300 AAC Blackout Brass

If you own a drill press, I think the best way to remove the neck from the 223 is by using the Forster Powered Trimmer.

It's basically a collect you mount to drill press and toss the supplied cutter in the chuck and it removes the neck in a couple seconds without having to worry about burning up a motor (think Dillon).

Re: 300 AAC Blackout Brass

There are a lot of guys on the 300BLK forum that can prep your brass for you so you don't have to screw with it....it will get done right and you will never have to do it again....300BLK is very easy on the brass...especially when shooting subs.
