I have been looking around and I see people loving both cartridges but I really want a 6br or a variant of it. I feel that you get the same results witht the 6brx as you do with the 6br but with a little more velocity? Also which is more accurate?

I just ordered a 6mm bartlein barrel and a 6br reamer last week for a 6br build. velocity is all that I have found out on my research. the barrel I bought is 31" unfinished so i'm thinking 28" or 30" finished length, probly 28". i hope to get 2900fps with 105-108 bullets. time will tell.

From everything I've read & everyone I've talked to Gary is correct, BRX will be shorter barrel life but same accuracy for both. I am currently building a 6mm BR, don't need the extra velocity of the BRX. If I need the extra velocity I'll use my 6mmXC.

2900fps with a 105 is reasonable for a 6BR. Im able to get that out of all of mine (two 28" barrels & one 26" barrel) with RL15. Im getting ready to ream one of mine out to a BRX for that extra velocity needed at 1000yds ... but don't under estimate a straight 6BR at 1000 in good to fair conditions!

One thing to consider is if you are going to try to build it as a repeater or a single shot. It may not seem like much, but the extra .100'' does make a difference when feeding out of a mag. I chambered a Tubb rifle in 6BRX recently. When fireforming I would get a round every now and then that wouldn't feed. Since the cases have been blown out I have yet to have a round fail to feed.
