What a melee.

Sierra lists
.547 @ 2500 fps and above
.542 between 1800 and 2500 fps
.529 between 1600 and 1800 fps
.519 @ 1600 fps and below.

JBM has the numbers down to .527/.522/.509/.495 (could be the official numbers given by Sierra pre-pointing?).

The Applied Ballistics custom profile (which Doc says is for the new pointed design) correlates (all other inputs being the same) with average G1=.510 or G7=.254

That´s all over place.

Any practical past experience, please?

I've noticed the same thing but haven't had these out past 500 yards to see what the story is. On the Sierra 110, I've been using .330 out to 1200 yards and it's worked perfectly.

This 110 is a bullet that I can honestly say the advertised BC is too low, and I suspect the 107 will be the same way.

i will be shooting these at 600 this week so will report out.

I used .590 in my 6BR out to 1000 yards and it was exactly right on the money. My muzzle velocity is around 2865 at 80 degrees 2000DA.

I inadvertently used the custom curve in the Applied Ballistics in my Kestrel ... i can confirm it was spot on at 600 ... am shooting @ 2940 fps

Yes, got a little time on the long field myself, the custom curve doesn´t lie and real world data therefore corresponds to G1=.510 or G7=.254. Sierra is pretty optimistic in published numbers.

I have been running the Sierra 107s in dasher at 2950 fps for some time. Out to about 1100yds I have been using G7 .290 with good results.

Even in this thread we have vastly differing results.

I would love to test it myself, but don't have regular access to the longer distances outside of matches. I have to rely on the calculators.

I ran the 107s and 110s over the last month using AB custom curve on these bullets, reverified velocity and both were spot on at 600.

My newest box has bullets that have obviously been pointed. Some of the older stuff that a friend gave me has obviously not been. That might make a difference.

I have used always .262 G7 BC for the pointed 107 SMKs. Never had any issues. They line right up with my pointed Nosler 105 gr Custom Comps too. This is in 2 different 6XC builds running at 3062-3091 fps.

I know this is an old thread but wanted to see what everyone has been using for a G7 bc?

Strelok Pro has 6mm 107 SMK G7 as either .261 or .271.

I used .271 over the weekend out to 1100yds and it works.

Using Strelok Pro's values it said 3.4 mils @567yds for my 6br at 2810fps. Real world dope was 3.25 mils. To true it it is having me adjust MV to 2861 or BC to .308. Don't know what to trust since I only have access to 567yds.

Until you can shoot at a greater distance I'd take the velocity adjustment, it is a 2% difference. Adjusting the BC is 13% and the amount you'd need to adjust is about 2x what is considered normal for truing.

I would double check all your inputs first though. Especially your zero distance (97 or 104 yards is not 100) and any offset that may exist, being a click or three off from truly zeroed is more common than you'd think.
