I don't think I ever posted my results for attempting a slower node.

36gr of h4350 failed to group or get consistent speeds behind 109 hybrids, DTACs, or Match Burners. I was averaging around 2790, with an SD of about 50 FPS. It was bad.

I bumped it to 37.3 and got just under 2950 with single digit SDs, and it was grouping pretty well with 112 Match Burners.

I have a feeling that if I want to run 2800, I'll have to run h1000 or something like that, or do as PewPew says and make my own LRP brass from creedmoor or something.

I was hoping to hear back about your experiments. I wish Peterson made small and large primer brass like they did for 6xc. I was considering that but finding a smith with a manson reamer is harder than I thought

Try H4831sc, N555 or Rl23 perhaps?

Has anyone tried N540 with 105s? I searched this thread but couldn't come up with anything, and I can get my hands on quite a bit for $30 pound.

I don’t put too much confidence on burn rate charts but it’s close to reloder 15.5 so I feel it could be a great option. I’ve heard n150 is also a great option for 105-109

N150 works well in a BRA and GT, My bra topped out over 3k fps with a 105hyb. It's close to Varget in that case gr for gr and correlating velocity.

How do you like the hart? I almost went for them for a blank but getting it to a smith at the time was a hassle so i went with PVA for now

Had a hart 6.5 barrel chambered in 6.5x47 that was a hammer. Good as anything I’ve ever had from any maker. This one is still young but promising. We will see!

What's ya'lls experience with something like a forster FL or custom honed FL sizing die vs something like a wilson, whidden, or redding or whatever bushing FL die? I saw Area 419 comment on a post from ReloadingAllDay saying a well made non bushing FL sizing die will have a greater tendency to produce straight ammo.

I agree about the honed FL die making straight ammo. I used to use a bushing die till i put one of my bushing in i had never used and it was not concentic. My ammo was bad.

I now use forster honed dies and my load is 60% 1’s and 25% 2’s and the rest 3’s. I am sold on them. I now have 12 reloads on my 6br and 9 on my 6x47L. No cases lost since i went to those dies.

That is the kind of confidence I was, hoping to hear! Getting one ordered once I start breaking in my brass

Nice shooting. My nodes were about .6g grains apart and the faster I pushed
them, the smaller they shot.
The 39.5 looks to be in-between a nice node, but your leaving some speed on the table.
The 40.0 and 40.5 with the N160 looks nice also.
If you can take those out longer, then I'd try that. ( 300yds. + )
