I'm looking to build a 7mm LR elk rifle to shoot 170-180 grain bullets, Id like to send them around 2950-3000 in a suppressed 22-24" barrel throated out in a LA.
I found a good deal on a bunch of Hornady 7 wsm brass, and I like the case capacity over the saum.
My thought is that the wsm would have enough volume to use H1000 and achieve velocities that'd probably require RL26 and higher pressure with a 7 saum
Anyone have experience with shooting the wsm? Is it harder to tune than the saum?
I've owned a 7-300 wsm years ago and it was the most accurate rifle I've shot, just hated dicking around with forming brass..
