that is better answered by your gunsmith than by joe blow on the internet

it does lead to a reply question - why do folks continue to have hacks put coatings on gun parts when there are so many examples of similar F'ed up actions?

I have heated plenty of riveted extractors to 300 degrees without any issues, a lot of time it is because AO got behind the extractor. Try blowing it out and cleaning behind it.
