Does any 700P rifle have identifying marks on the receiver or barrel anywhere that say 700P or Police? Is the only thing to distinguish a 700P form a SPS varmit w/ 26" barrels just the different stocks?

My .308 SPS tactical says "TACTICAL" on the barrel, but what I'm trying to figure out is if there is a difference between the 26" SPS varmit and the 26" 700P...other than the stocks? that's all...I was thinking that the receiver had "700P" stamped on it.

My 700P has no special markings on it. I recall the box indicating it as a 700 police but nothing special on the rifle itself. Hope this helps.

The two rifles have different finish on the barrel and action.
The 700P has what I think is a parkerized finish and the 700SPS has a black oxcide finish.
I have not seen any "700P" or "Police" markings on my 700P.
