Re: 77 gr psp loads for .223 cal

1/9 twist is to Slow... need 1/8 or 1/7.7 etc. I had a 1/9 and it shot everything up to 75 which was great but the 77 not so much.
However I use ramshot tac and CCI mil primers 22.5 grains is 2765FPS and 24 grns 2885 FPS I have built my AR so dont use the same loads as throats, chamber etc are all going to be different dimensions than what you have.
Really good information can be found at 6mmbr.com

here is the link to .223 .223 twist

Re: 77 gr psp loads for .223 cal

For 77 gr. SMK and Nosler CC and Hornady 75 gr HP match; 25.5 gr of RE-15 for the 5.56 and 25 gr. for the .223. Velocity out of my 16" 5.56 is 2690 and velocity out of my 26" .223 is 2990. Twist in the AR is 1-8", twist in the .223 is 1-9. Extra velocity may help with stabilization there.

That powder is relatively dirty in my AR. But, it gets good velocity.
