Looking for suggestions/thoughts on some cheaper rifles to use for hunting.

Use will be 250-400 yard shots on white tail. I know in this price range, accuracy, QC, triggers, etc etc can all be a gamble. I was eyeing bergara but have seen so many threads with issues in the last few years, it makes me want to stay away.

Local store has a Browning X bolt hunter. 24" threaded barrel on sale for $650 and has a $75 rebate.

Savage 110 VSX hunter with a cheap vortex that'd be rehomed on a 22 for $850

Savage 110 trail hunter lite for $599

Ive had pretty good accuracy in the past out of the savages Ive owned and swapping barrels is super easy..

Just curious what the hide thinks.

I saw that last night but the 24” is a turn off. I’ll double check on that. If it is a 22” that’ll be what I get then.
I've looked into it by checking the manufacturer number against other listings. It's the same MPN as the Scheels one that just got posted in here. So that model number (wherever you get it), will be 22".

I see tikka has a 8 twist and 9 twist in their prc.

Which twist is better? Probably run 175 ish weight class
If you're running above 170 it probably wouldn't hurt to use the 8 twist. Haven't looked at any bullet manufacturers recommendations, but I used a 9 twist in a 7RM for 168's no problem, but I dont think I'd have been able to go much heavier. Using an 8.5 twist for my 7SAW using 168's, just in case I wanted to use heavier. I don't think 8 is too fast for that weight of bullet.
