A couple of months ago I decided to create data books specific to the needs of my team and how we train. My limited abilities with MS Excel led to many, many hours on the computer but I was finally able to produce a decent quality book which I then printed on the frighteningly expensive Rite In The Rain paper. One of the benefits of working for a large agency is that purchases can take a year or more to go from proposal to delivery and the track record for my requests has run in the .05% approval rate for the past several years so the paper came out of my pocket.
I wanted to provide my guys with data book covers which were also going to come out of my pocket so I posted a thread asking about affordable options. Nick (HasgunWilltravel here on the Hide) sent me a pm and offered to help out. I gave him a call and he graciously offered to donate nine data book covers for my guys. They arrived a short time later and I couldn't be more appreciative. The new books and covers will be a huge improvement over the generic books, printed on copier paper and stored in a ziplock back that my guys are used to and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Nick for his generosity. I'm impressed with the quality and layout of the covers and you can bet I'll be looking Nick up the next time I need a piece of gear.
Thanks again Nick, keep an eye one the mailbox for some swag I've got headed your way.
