Accuracy International Picture Thread

Been dreaming of owning an AI since I was a little kid, growing up playing every video games that featured an AI sniper, it’d always be the first gun i’d level up or modify or spend actual money on either unlocking or applying skins on..

Now I can say that this one is mine ! Thanks to a bunch of guys on here for the inspiration View attachment 8246317

Now just missing my BT-57 monopod…
Where did you get your cheek pad and ARCA rail? Thanks

Question:

I have an ATX. Eventually plan to run a clip on

Do I need a 20 moa accessory rail for the forend?

@BurtG I think you may run this setup?

I had a flat rail on forend , 20 moa stock rail on action.

Was getting wonky poi/poa with my xii so I Dremel down a full size 20 moa rail for the clip on.

Currently running stock action rail , 1.5” scope mount , cut down forend 20moa rail. 1.3” center xii

Previous set up with zero moa rail :

Can’t find a pic with the new rail with clip on on

It's going to depend how sensitive your clipon is to angular misalignment. My PVS 30 is perfectly happy riding on a standard section of pic rail, and a PVS 27 should be similar. Thermals may be more sensitive.

Thanks!

I haven’t gone down the clip on route yet. Planning for future ideas as I set up this rifle piece by piece

A friend of mine is absolutely amazed after shooting my AW in 308. He thinks about getting an AT. What are your thoughts comparing those two? What are the main differences? I know about the quick change barrel and another trigger. Anything more? Are they comparable by any means?

Never handled an AT, not sure what to tell him...

To me personally the AW is the holy grail after owning her for a few months. Rest of my rifles stays in the safe since then and even sold most of them recently.

Took the TBAC out to Range 4 for a 1,000yd day; heading OCONUS so I won't be shooting for a while. Winds were at 10-15 mph. What's unique is the range is in a bowl so the 10mph at range level is tame considering the real wind at ground level (above us) was 20-25mph, which is unusual for us here in NoVA.

Started the session shooting my 600yrd steel to check velocity / true. After I shot my first string (just under the red stripe), I let the firing line shoot my steel (you'd think I'd know better by now).

Did you sell your AT?

The foam has a cutout for one box of ammo, I think you know the answer to your question :ROFLMAO:
Always sad to see such rifles collecting dust. Rifles are made to shoot, you can put them on the wall after 30 barrels. Others are desperately searching for those and have to pay ridicolous prices to be able to shoot one. Each to their own though....

Yeah. Pulled the optic and dumped it for $2500 on here a couple weeks ago. Sold pretty quick

Just a joke!

I’ll never sell the AT. It’s the holy grail of AI’s. The ATX fate has yet to be determined down the road.

It does have a nice feel to it though. The centerline of the rifle is similar to my other AT. Just with a chassis. I wanted a feel similar to what I have vs the taller/blocky feeling my AX had.

If I don’t like it I’ll sell the ATX chassis and get a takeoff AT thumbhole folder for this to

Edit: if I ever do go back to the AX platform I’d put a thumbhole on it like @Huskydriver did. That rifle was sick!!

I shed a tear just writing I sold that rifle! There’s not many rifles I legit would never part with but that AT is one I won’t. Everything I wanted over all my years shooting is that rifle.

I wanted another rifle for target shooting. Something I can run year round as a fuck around rifle while my green AT is working crop damage shifts in the farm fields.

Trigger on this ATX is phenomenal though I give it that for sure

Good one, for a moment i had a tear in my eye for not seeing that add in the trade section🤣

Alright, i will tell my buddy to get one. Seems legit😆

Already caught myself thinking about an AT aswell to take pressure from my AW. Had 1000 rounds within 4 months😬

Too bad they dont offer the AT in 300winmag.

Cheers

Hi Team,

A couple of months ago I posted about my Accuracy international Coopermatch which I was planning on converting from single shot to magazine fed and looking for a Chassis to drop it into. J-Ham absolutely pulled though, being an absolute legend and posting his AT chassis from the land of the free to the land of haggis and whisky (one big favour still outstanding).

Its just been finished (magazine well milled out and new bedding screw holes) by Jack at JR firearms so I thought I would take the opportunity to give credit to those who made this possible. Thank you J-Ham, Jack and EOD100

I'll post another photo when she's fully dressed.
Jack

MIL version. It’s locking.
I saw the On <->Off markings and wondered. I wasn't aware there was a military-specific version. Any other differences? Also, other than in the military itself, are those available anywhere?
