I bought a pale brown AX338 mag and I suspect it’s actually a dark earth mag. As I haven’t seen either in the flesh before, is anyone able to tell me what I’ve actually got? The mag on the right is the woodland tan duracoat I used for reference. Mags in direct sunlight and shade, respectively.

That red dot on the receiver is a over pressure blowout plug. It's on their 50's.

I was out back shooting today and put my 20” stock .308 barrel on the AIAT. I can't remember the last time I had it on but what a blast, it still puts em in one hole if I do my part. Cooling it off before putting it back in the safe.......

Random question - does anyone have a current gen AT-AICS R700 chassis they’d be willing to lend me for a week or two? The use would simply be to measure it and put in CAD to look at doing an R700 inlet for my chassis. I wouldn’t be shooting it or anything.

I would need an inlet that isn’t bedded or machined, and I’m willing to pay for shipping both ways.

When changing barrels, do you all use anything on the barrel thread? I saw the manual said a small amount of CLP, so I was planning on putting some Ballistol on there. No anti seize though, right?

Awesome, thanks! I've seen so many pictures where is looks greenish or gray. I'm about to order my first AI and want to make sure I'm happy with the color before spending the cash

It changes in different lighting, it can definitely have green and gray undertones.

How do you like that adjustable MOA mount? Do you use it, or have you just set it and not readjusted it? Someone recommended that I get one of those over a Spuhr so I'm looking for some input from owners. I'm planning on going with 300N and 6.5 so it seems like something that could come in handy with shooting ELR

I like it a lot. The adjustments are very repeatable and I have used them when shooting to 1 mile with the .338 LM and .300 WinMag and will definitely use it when shooting the .308 Win to a mile. Unfortunately opportunities to shoot past 1 mile on the east coast are slim.
