Ok, I'm loading up for a buddy's PSR. It's got 3 barrels .338 Lapua, .300 mag, .308. I've loaded for the .300 & .308 for years so no problem there. But on the .338 Lapua I need a little guidance. Had one a few years back and sold it ... Threw away all my data. Right now I'm running h1000 for the 300 smk and otm Berger. I don't like to dittle around and waste powder and bullets so I always start towards the upper middle. His recommendation was 90.5 to 91.0 grains h1000 , lapua brass , fgm215m. I'm gonna try jumping and kissing the lands but does this load sound about right?
300 smk
90.5 h1000
Lapua brass
215m
2.931 " to ogive. 20/1000" jump
I've already shot 88.5 r25 with great results but as we all know TEMP sensitive.
What you think fellas?
