It is my understanding that guys that mainly shot on KD ranges generally prefer SFP scopes. But if a guy decided to get a FFP could he still be as accurate and competitive? I guess why I'm asking is I have heard on higher mags the reticle may hide more of the X ring, does anyone see this as a major hurdle?

I believe different optic companies make reticles with slightly different widths. Personally i dont have a problem with my razor 5-20. However, i know the knew vortexs will have an option for an open center ffp which is very appealing. That would be the way i would go for your situation
