Honestly, there are thousands of videos online of soldiers dancing from every country you can imagine. It's really nothing new, nor was the American soldiers doing "Telephone." I've seen and heard it all before. So if the Israeli government is going to be pissed at these guys, they really should go ahead and look. There's probably 10000 previous Israeli soldier dance videos.

I've seen and heard it all before. So if the Israeli government is going to be pissed at these guys, they really should go ahead and look. Minx- The difference is that the large majority of those videos do no feature soldiers dancing on patrol in a contentious city where public image can have a dire effect on situational balance.

I don't know. I've seen a LOT of dance videos and to be honest, most of them looked like they should have been doing something else/better or just working, lol. Image is always important in war. So, I beg to differ.

I think you are confusing war time/place with actual operational no-no's. One of which, is dancing on patrol and videoing it. The enemy will choose his time and place to attack, so, it is wise to always expect it. If I were a guerrilla fighter watching those patrols go by everyday and all the sudden they started goofing off, I'd maximize that opportunity to lay waste.
The Israeli government is starting to be very critical of their forces and soldiers' conduct due to increased international scrutiny and past events that left Israel scrambling to save face.

What pisses me off is the bias in taht story - why do I need to know that only israeli settlers can use that street?

THere in lies the problem, Israel was the only country to say F-off we don't care. Now they are starting to worry about what the world thinks.
