I'm getting my build done as we speak from a certified cerakote applicator. I've heard of things such as flaking, which could be bad if flakes come in contact with the bolt lugs. kind of like lapping compound. Are the flaking incidents mostly amateur or DIYers not prepping the surface or applying it right? The bolt body and head is staying the stock blue, but I'm getting the entire receiver inside and out done.
Thanks.

it will ware in and you will get some cerakote colored gun oil residue after the first couple trips it should stop. it will not affect the gun, I coat my bolts and it has never changed my headspace even after it has worn from the lugs.
