Have you seen one of their M1A stocks? It's a work of art. If they bring that level of quality to the 700 chassis, then it will be an amazing thing to behold. Expensive, perhaps even heavy, but amazing.
And, frankly, I'm tired of seeing all the bloody AICS rifles! They're so yesterday!
In the end, to each their own. Whatever that means.

Even if someone did manage to take pictures of it, good luck getting it before 2013.
You'll get a RACS before a JAE 700. Even longer wait for the long action model.

Oh, don't worry, I'm familiar with the lead time - had mine ordered since November of 2008!
Really, I'm more likely to dump the rest of my money into a REPR like yours, anyway!

I've seen pics, it is everything you would hope it to be, just like the M14 version. Its a beauty.

I dont argue it looks pretty.....that being said are we buying a tool or a piece of expensive eye candy. Their inability to deliver as the rest of the market keeps moving goes even more to my point.
And the other weight would concern me.
As you pointed out....that is why there is chocolate and vanilla....

they had the wisdom to go with the AICS as opposed to what they were going to have their own mags.

Originally, they intended to make their own AICS-compatable mags and include one with the chassis, if I recall correctly. It was always supposed to work with AICS mags, though. That is definitely a good thing. Some wheels just don't need to be reinvented!

I stood there awhile and checked it out. Then I moved on because the guy behind their display was a complete asshole

I'm betting he was probably being an @$$HOLE because he was fed up with people asking him when their JAE-700 chassis would be out!!
I mean really...they have basically been saying "soon" for YEARS during which time they have gladly taken money for them all while continuing to postpone release and delivering exactly ZERO units to date!!!!
If they had my money, I'd be pi$$ed as all hell by now and I'd have gladly gone elsewhere.

Yeah IMO they screwed the pooch big time with this one. When was it first shown SHOT 07 or 08? If they would have actually got it to market they would have had a winner. Since then so much time has passed there are considerably more options available.
There is alot to be said fro being the first or second to bring something new to market but when you are 15 or 20 you better have something to offer the others dont.
I just dont understand how they can bring the 14 version to market but the 700 (imo much simpler design) has taken forever and a day.

gave up on the JAE 700, every time i called it was the same story, in a month or two. Screw that they sounded like a stuck record. I don't think they will ever be out BS from them.

There are to many other options. I gave up on them as well. 4 years is a bit stupid, and from what I've heard we wont be done waiting any time soon.

I Emailed them the other day and was told wait time was 10 months or so. Has anyone actually received one yet?

If it's any consolation even the M1A stocks have over a 10 month lead time. I placed my order over 12 months ago and am still waiting for delivery, but it should be "soon".
Good looking products and hopefully the 700 model will go into production by mid 2012 for those with outstanding orders.
