I read a couple threads on this forum stating that these were top of the line and similar in glass/quality to S&B and USO.

Got it for $1100 shipped and it's supposed to be here on Tuesday. I'll post pics when I get it. It's going on a M107A1 in an ADM mount for now. Not the world's most accurate 50, so I figured I don't need 25x+ magnification.

Anyone else get in on this?

You may wish to have Plan B at the ready with respect to Botach. They do not have a reputation for integrity and timely delivery on too good to be true prices.

Good luck.

I understand the concern. I've probably purchased $10k worth of stuff from there without issue over the last 7 years. Aimpoints, ACOGS, Magpul stuff, Geissle triggers, ect. Not one issue. The scope's already at my local UPS hub, per the tracking.

I have seen the 5-25's with the MSR reticle on sale for 2500.00 from time to time. Still a lot of change for myself, so I'd like to look through one before cashing in. 1100 seems to be a killer price on that 3-12.

I once got a trijicon rmr for something like $320. It took 8 months to get it and they tried to cancel my order multiple times but it did indeed arrive.

Also got an ACOG ta31hg for something like $900 from them.

Yah lot of times
Not in stock but I've always ended up getting it eventually.

Is this for real? You're not just some plant screwing with us and you have an actual tracking number? Color me skeptical as I've been "botach-ed" before...........

These are now showing sold out.

I've ordered a range of stuff from Botach over the last several years with only a few problems. There was a ADM mount on back-order for months before I gave up and cancelled, and some Israeli bandages that showed up about 18 months after placing the order and being informed of a back-order, but fortunately they were date coded only a couple months before I received them. Other than that, no real issues. I got a Vortex Razor genII 1-6x24 scope from them a couple months ago for $1225 back when most places didn't even have them in stock, so some good deals can be for real. Oh, and I managed to order one of these before they sold out, so in a week I'll know if the deal is for real or not. Practically half off the standard price. Won't be ordering my 34mm rings until it's sitting in front of me though. :)

Ordered one as well. Won't order my rings until its in my hands either. I'll see if its real as well.

Soo...did the OP who was supposed to get it Tuesday get it Tuesday?

I've ordered mags from them before and got them quickly. Friend ordered a sling and some other small stuff and got it without incident as well but I have heard some of the stories.

Thats BS I didn't read any disclaimer saying that it was a factory second when I bought mine! It's not uncommon to see 50% difference in prices on the net these days. Look at ammo!

Well, I got it today and it's not second. Looks perfect and the knobs seem to be straight, although the elevation seems to be in-between some of the settings. Haven't had a chance to take of the turret and reposition, though. Also have the 50mm version coming, too. Just got the tracking. Canned with Butler Creeks, too!

The fact that it is a 35 ounce 3-12x is the reason I passed on it.
The 50mm is only slightly lighter so I'd just opt for the 56mm objective if I was getting one.

um. not impressed.

I just sent mine back to Botach. The whole outer edge of the reticle was foggy & maybe misaligned when I looked thru it. The parallax was ok, the fine eye adjustment moved every time I had to adjust/ move the rear Butler Creek cover. The lit reticle worked fine & so did elevation adjustment which I liked a lot, but no matter how I worked with the windage adjustment, it would not even up to have equal adjustment for left and right. It obviously wasn't what I expected from Steiner with all the great reviews, but I'll stick with my fixed 10x power optic for now, and maybe another 'unicorn' will come along. I hope the other's who got this great deal have better luck.

The brown-attired Santa brought mine this afternoon, and I've had a few minutes to look at it and through it. So far, great. No defects of any kind on mine. Glass quality is great as expected, seems slightly better than my SWFA SS 5-20x HD, and noticeably better than a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x56mm. Would prefer the crosshairs to be slightly thinner at the center. Illumination seems outstanding. So far it seems like everything I was hoping for in a roughly $1800 scope, for 40% off.

This word for word. Couldn't have typed it better. Just wanted to add that this things is HUGE for a 3-12

I just got my 3-12x50 today, and it's perfect. Steiner sent me a label for my 3-12x56 with the turrets that are off, but I think I can live with it, so I'm going to hold off for now. Their CS is pretty good from the correspondence. The glass is better than my NXS 8-32, but as stated above, the Steiner is a JUGGERNAUT.

Can anyone quickly figure out the math and tell me if I'll be able to zero my M107a1 in a standard (no cant) mount? The rifle already has 27 MOA of can't in the top rail.

What customer service? I already contacted them and haven't hear and it has been over a week. I even contacted them here on SH and no reply. Who did you contact exactly, can you please share so I can do the same?

Thanks

Why didn't you just contact me here or call us? We would have taken care of any issue that you were having.

Sorry new to forum, I would have contacted 'Steiner Optics' directly but (1. I didn't know about Steiner on the forum, my mistake) it also seemed with the problems I had with the windage, and looking thru the reticle... I'd rather not have that reticle. The reticle was just too thick in the end for my liking, and with the return policy at Botach, I decided not to go with the optic. I do appreciate your response and will consider it for future purchases. Thanks.

27 MOA is 7.8 mils, so you should be okay.
Steiner lists the 3-12x50 as having 19.5 mils of elevation adjustment buy my guess is that's restricted by the double turn knob and there is more travel than that in the erector assembly.

I guess I could have figured that out if I would have searched harder. Thanks for answering my questions AND explaining it! Love this forum!
