AR-15 Rear Sight Help

I have a new STAG model 3 Left handed AR with a set of DPMS detachable traditional iron sights on it.

I'm sighting it in today and the windage is ALL THE WAY LEFT and its shooting 2 inches to the RIGHT. I'm out of adjustment and I'm not zeroed... and its frustrating.

Its a new sight and a new rifle... where do I start troubleshooting?

Problem Solved...

after 200 rounds and a different set of sights...

rail on the gas block was slightly crooked...

feeling pretty stupid

I set my sight/gas block final position by zeroing windage, and tweaking the front sight/gas block to center with a laser boresighter. Works for me.

Of course, with a pinned block/sight, you do not have this adjustability. I avoid pinning anyway due to my suspicions about barrel stresses.
