I recently picked up another Ares, so I thought I would show some pics comparing the BTR to the ETR for anyone curious. I wish I still had a Cronus to throw in there, as it has been my favorite scope so far. I haven’t gotten to mount them both for comparisons, and hopefully I can get to that over the Christmas holiday break the next couple weeks.
I’m not sure what I am going to think about the floating dot reticle, because I have always preferred having a cross, but we’ll see. I wanted to try the less expensive models after enjoying the Cronus so much, to see if I can get by saving money.
Sorry, I’m not bringing much to the table here, but I thought there may be some people that were curious. With the BTR being 30mm, it is smaller and lighter, which is what I was going for on my airgun. I plan to put the ETR, in 34mm being larger and heavier, on my bench gun.

That's two of the reasons I bought the Ares BTR 4.5-27x50, it's size and weight are appealing, plus the reticle is in .2's.

It's my favorite scope in this price range - street price.
