Looking for some photo's of the Ashbury Mod 0/ Mod 1 Chassis, there are plenty of the Mod 1 but not many of the Mod 0. Also if you live in NC and have either version of the chassis, I would love to drive your way and get behind it. Thanks

Re: Ashbury Chassis Mod 0 - Show Em'

I have a build being completed at the moment with a Mod 0. Should be here by next week give or take.

I bought this barreled action: http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthre...573#Post3374573

And this Ashbury Stock: http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthre...333#Post3408333

After purchasing them I had them sent to Phoenix Custom Rifles (PCR) to have the barreld action cerakoted FDE to match the chassis.

Very excited. Will post pics here once I have it in my hands.

Not that much visuble differance from Mod 1 to Mod 0. No full length top rail and no hard points on the sides of the fore end. The 0 is standard with a fixed stock, but the folding hinge can be added. The butt has the same look and adjustments, but the Mod 0 is hand tool (Allen screws) and the 1 is push button adjustments.

Their price tag is the only downside.

It's true..... Ashbury is nice but damn they are high dollar! I ended up taking that Templar S out of the Ashbury and putting it in a KMW Sentinel, mucho better!

I still have the chassis but it will need a remington action. They just do not like custom actions in them. That top rail is crucial to making them fit tight.

Here's my Mod 0. Since these pictures I've added the Ashbury mono-pod accessory, of which, I HIGHLY recommend. Super expensive.. but it's just bad ass. The rifle is currently at a smith for barrel threading for muzzle brake + suppressor.

What's the barrel length in that boomstick?

No, and No. the carbon fiber is very thick and feels as solid as the steel. It doesn't touch the barrel at all at any point.

I suppose I'm not totally clear on what you mean by "loaded". I'm assuming you mean does it flex when shooting? Either way, I haven't noticed any flexing at all at any point while using the rifle; Whether it be general handling or firing. It feels very solid. Although, I've only had the chance to send about 80 rounds down range.

holtenc, the rifle looks awesome.

He meant loading the bipod.

Re: Ashbury Chassis Mod 0 - Show Em'

ahhhh. Thanks for the clarification. No, not that I've noticed. To expand on my previous comments: When I first inspected the CF, my first reaction was "holy shit, is this really CF?" To me it might as well have a steel core. Then again this is all coming from a guy who is TOTALLY new to LR shooting and everything that is related to it. Before this Surgeon my longest gun was a Browning X-bolt 300WSM for hunting... so take whatever I say with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Thanks! Once I get it back from the smith with the brake, and I get my optic from USO in.. I'll post up a picture with the complete rifle.

Thanks, and you're welcome
