.338 Edge, Photo taken in my back yard where I practice out to 440 yards.

Rifle started as a Remington Sendero SF II, Had action trued and bolt sleeved, 30" Lilja barrel, Custom brake, Bedding, trigger, Long throat for 300gn SMK. NF scope and mounts.
Have an adjustable cheek peice but have yet to hit it.
Still need to pick up a few items for it like ACI/ACD.
It is a lot of fun to shoot.

Re: Aussies first real LR rifle

It has the factory Sendero Stock that has been bedded and the brake was made by the smith. The smith said he usually uses D.E. brakes but he has not been happy with the quality of them lately so has been making his own. It could be a copy of the Sako TRG 42 but it is a bit different with how it locks onto the barrel. It works quite well.

Re: Aussies first real LR rifle

I got 2958 fps with the 300 grn SMK and a load of 98 grn AR2217 or H1000. Pressure was only just starting to show on the primers.
I have a long throat with bullets seated way out so don't try this with normal throated .338 Edge rifles.
