I have a DSA SA58 FAL OSW Rifle, a SBR chambered in .308. It has an 11 inch barrel and could do work as a flame thrower. I was wondering if a can might help this, as well as tame it a bit. I have no idea what thread is on the barrel tho. Anyone care to offer a guess?

Original FAL's used 9/16X24 Left. I don't know if DSA deviated from that on the OSW.

^^This^^

Can you take the brake off and look? Measure the outside diameter of the thread and that should give us a pretty good idea. When removing the brake, be cautious, as mentioned above my post, it may be a left-hand thread.

I don't know much about FALs though.

Re: Barrel thread and pitch help

It will be 9/16x24 ,but it could be left or right hand. I am pretty sure they used right hand on the osw.I am like 28.13% sure but its a strong .13
