Start in one corner and tighten somewhat and go from that corner go to opposite then to opposite set. X pattern. Keep incrementally tightening until you hit torque value.which scope cap screw is correct to torque down first?

Kinda like tightening lug nuts.
middle ring?? your mount has 3 rings????I read that one differently.
Thought he meant turret caps.
The answer to that would be the front turret cap.
The answer to the other question would be the middle ring, left side, rear screw.
This is one of the reasons why we never saw a cold bore shot deviation because his rifles are designed for LE and Gov where they only get one shot and that shot could mean the difference between saving a hostage's life.
Uh yeah. That’s gonna leave a mark.Nothing like going to torque something down and you read foot pounds when it’s supposed to be in inch pounds
Nothing like going to torque something down and you read foot pounds when it’s supposed to be in inch pounds

Simian-like strength and intellect has left me slain. But why?
I get your point, don't get me wrong. I'm just stating that one doesn't have to crank a barrel into the receiver with simian-like strength and intellect in order to retain zero or prevent a cold bore shift.
You have to get the proper tool with 8-12 bits (depending on which rings you have) so that you can tighten all of the screws down at the same time. This is the only way to achieve maximum precision from your rifle system.which scope cap screw is correct to torque down first?
