So my search for the ideal, sub 8lb 6.5 CM AR boils down to the POF Revolution, Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter and 2A-Arms XLR-20 . Am I missing anyone? Is there a clear choice? Yes, I have to make it CA compliant to possess here as a subject in the People's Republik of Mexifornistan.

I am not completely familiar with all the California compliant rules. But, You could look into building a DPMS G2 with a lightweight barrel and parts. I know that DPMS is not a company at the moment. But, there a number of them for sale online still and plenty of companies that make aftermarket parts and accessories for it.
