I am a bit confused obviously but is there a way for me to use a Rem/Age with this action?

I have ony dealt with AI so am kind of lost on this subject already plus the fact the TL2 came in multiple threads makes searching hard.

My understanding is yes. You would need make sure the barrel that you order has remington threads and not savage. Depending on yoir stock/chassis You might need to make clearance in your stock for the barrel nut. Not hard to do.

reccommend calling josh at pva to get your barrels if you don’t have a source already. His prefits are hammers.

Most remage barrels are machined with a recess for the bolt nose on a Remington 700. The TL2 does not have the bolt nose to create the "three rings of steel." I'm fairly certain that standard remage prefits will not work with the TL2 action. My understanding is that PVA can do pretty much anything you want as far as shouldered or barrel nut prefits for bighorn actions. If you are looking for a mass produced prefit NSS can have Criterion do a barrel nut prefit for your TL2 with 1.0625x16 threads. I believe the cost is just over $300.

Id caveat what I said in that the only time I’ve considered a “remage” barrel setup for my tl2 was with josh at pva. So it very well may be a standard prefit won’t work. Sorry for the mis info.

No problem and thanks for all of the info guys!

I e-mailed Josh at PVA and he said that he can make a barrel without me having to send in the action so I will just do that as I don't mind buying an action wrench and already have the Brownell's barrel vise on my bench.

That is exactly what I do....I prefer shouldered barrels and josh is who I use for that exact reason of not needing to send my action in... you’ll be happy with it.

Josh has the action wrench in stock also.

Good to know...thanks!

I spoke with Bighorn today and will be taking my action to them next week since I live close to have it DLC'd and they said I could tour the shop which is awesome!
