I have a Blaser LRS2 in 308 with the Saddle Mount scope mount, and it does not come back far enough to mount scope for proper eye relief. I was wondering if anyone knows of a mount made for the LRS2 that is longer to the rear? or are there any smiths on here who could actually extend my current mount? I have a Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56 with 3.5" of eye relief, and the mount puts the scope about 1.5" to far forward for correct cheek placement. Below are some pics of the mount, as well as the Blaser Tactical which has the integral rail that comes back further, like i need mine too. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: Blaser LRS2 scope rail EXTENSION NEEDED!

I had the same problem with my Blaser. I wanted to put my US Optics SN3 on it and couldn't with the mount made for the Blaser. I found out that US Optics makes a rail for it. Contact them.

Re: Blaser LRS2 scope rail EXTENSION NEEDED!

I purchase a rail from Sig and had gunsmith install, I had to purchase a tap for the metric threads. The barrel in one extremely hard metal, not a job for anybody but a highly experienced person, I don’t think I could talk him in to another.

Yes, your right, a pic rail is different to a saddle clamp,

The point being if they make Tac2 rails then they may also do a pic rail for the saddle mount,

Or you could try your luck sending your barrel to SigUSA to fit a factory LRS2 pic rail......

I have two Blasers and understand your problem. One solution is to remove some of the buttstock spacers, which will move the scope closer to your eye. The LOP adjustment is more about the distance from your shoulder to your eye than about the length of your arms. Your grip will easily adapt to the shorter LOP. I've never seen the long Picatinny rail in the second link to the Blaser website. It should work for you without any problems.

BTW, Blaser makes a saddle mount with a Picatinny/Weaver rail. However, it's short and locates a scope in the same place as the saddle mount with rings. I just bought one and mounted my USO ST-10 with a pair of Badger rings, moving the scope as far to the rear as possible.

Here's a pic of how it came out. After playing with it for a few minutes, I've decided to remove a couple spacers!

Re: Blaser LRS2 scope rail EXTENSION NEEDED!

appreciate the info, probably going to look into having the factory Tac2 rail mounted on my barrel. I cant take any spacers out, as it has nothing to do with the eye relief on my scope, on 24x my face is almost off of the cheek rest, NOT a comfortable position! lol. Any idea on a cost Unsichtbar for the rail and also the install? any pics?

Re: Blaser LRS2 scope rail EXTENSION NEEDED!

Same problem, alomst. I have a Tactical 2 and a LRS2, I ordered a 6BR barrel for the LRS2, came in yesterday and took the picatinny mount of my LRS. To my surprise, there were no holes in the 6BR barrel to mount the picatinny rail. I called Alex at Euro Optics and he informed me that it is a special order to have the barrel preped for the rail. (6 month wait) He informed me he had a rail made that will fit the saddle mount and is a longer rail, suppose to send me a picture of it. I will let you know when I recieved it and if it works.
